MARCELO LLORENTE | FOUNDER
In 2002, Marcelo was elected to the Florida House of Representatives for District 116 and was re-elected in 2004, 2006, and 2008. During his tenure, he passed landmark legislation and held key leadership roles, including Chairman of the Full Appropriations Council on General Government and Health Care, where he oversaw more than $30 billion of Florida’s annual budget. He also served as Vice-Chairman of the Joint Legislative Budget Commission, Chairman of the Policy Council, and Chairman of the Committee on Constitution and Civil Law.
In 2019, Marcelo was appointed to Governor Ron DeSantis’ Transition Team as a member of the Advisory Committee on Government Operations. He has also led major political and community initiatives, including serving as Campaign Chairman for Congressman and former Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez, Co-Chair of Miami-Dade Public Schools’ $1.2 billion Bond Referendum in 2012, and as a Florida Delegate to the 2008 Republican National Convention.
A Miami-Dade native, Marcelo is a graduate of Belen Jesuit Preparatory School. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management, cum laude, from Tulane University, where he was a four-year letterman in baseball and a two-time recipient of the Jim and Loan LeBreton Award as the program’s Most Inspirational Player. He later received his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law.

NICOLE BAUTA | ASSOCIATE
Specialized in assisting clients with a wide variety of issues in the areas of government law, procurement, public-private partnerships, public finance, regulatory matters, emergency management, community relations, and business development.
Ms. Bauta received her Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law in 2019.
She is a member of the City, County & Local Government Law Section of the Florida Bar, the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, and the Cuban American Bar Association.
While completing her legal studies, Ms. Bauta was a student attorney representing immigrant juveniles obtaining legal immigration status. Ms. Bauta was an Articles Editor of the Florida International University Law Review and was the Third-Year Representative for the Cuban American Bar Association of FIU Law.
Ms. Bauta is fluent in Spanish.
JESSICA LANDSBERG | Director of Client Relations
Jessica Landsberg works closely with clients across diverse industries, including energy, healthcare, real estate, and transportation and infrastructure. Before joining MLPA, she served as a political consultant, managing and running field operations for several successful campaigns at the local, state, and federal levels beginning in 2017.
Jessica earned her Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami in May 2023. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a Pre-Law Certificate from Florida International University, following a short stint playing college basketball at Barry University.
Recognized among the 30 Under 30 Rising Stars of Florida Politics for her outstanding grassroots campaign work, Jessica has also completed the Anti-Defamation League’s Glass Leadership Institute—becoming the youngest person ever accepted into the program, which focuses on combating hate and bigotry within communities.
An active community leader, Jessica is involved in United Way Miami’s LINC, Young Leaders, and Women United networks, where she continues to champion civic engagement and professional growth among emerging leaders across South Florida.
CRISTINA LLORENTE | Director of Operations
Cristina Llorente serves as the Director of Operations for NCIB, LLC, where she oversees all facets of internal operations to ensure exceptional client service and organizational efficiency. In addition to managing daily operations, Cristina plays an active role in client engagement, supporting key projects and maintaining NCIB’s commitment to first-in-class service.
Before joining NCIB, Cristina co-founded and co-owned Cymbidium Events, a leading event planning company based in Miami, which she successfully ran for over twelve years. Her background in design and management brings a distinctive creative and detail-oriented approach to her work.
Cristina earned her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Florida State University in 2001.
